Old textile
The late Henri Casier 1 starts in Zwevegem with the collection of old textile waste .
A two-wheeled trolley was used to collect old cloths that were subsequently recycled into rags.
1920
Old iron
Thanks to the growth of the meanwhile global company “BEKAERT” , Casier accepts,
in addition to rags, also scrap iron to recycle
1956
Move to Deerlijk
Move to the present site in Deerlijk because of the connection of the yard to the railway.
1980
Retra-Renofe-Besri
Start-up in the Gentse kanaalzone of a shredding company “Retra-Renofe-Besri”
2002
Expansion
Approval expansion file of the Deerlijk Site. Expansion of the yard from 5 to 10 ha.
2003
ISO Standards & Quay
We are the first scrap company in Belgium to obtain an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
In the same year, a quay offering the possibility of transport by inland vessel is put into service.
2004
New office building
Casier Recycling moves into a new office building and also ensured the accessibility to the entrance of the site.
2006
Waste wood
We entered into a cooperation with the former Spano (nowadays Unilin) for the reception of waste wood.
2007
't Recupke
Start-up of ’t Recupke in Kortrijk: a small site intended for the reception of scrap of private and self-employed customers.

Metal demolition
Metaalafbraak bvba is kept above the baptismal font.
2012
Huughe Metalen
Take-over of Huughe Metalen along the Wiedauwkaai in Gent from the Huughe brothers.
2013
Waasland Recycling
Take-over of Vandergucht William in Sint-Gilles-Waas. The site is renamed and now bears the name of Waasland Recycling.
2014
Deerlijk Statie
Opening of the brasserie “Deerlijk Statie” transforming the former train station building into a number of residences with in annex a modern Brasserie.
2017
New approvals
Approval of the RUP Stationwijk with more possibilities for Casier Recycling to construct buildings on the entire site.
Approval of new environmental and construction permits for Waasland Recycling for an additional terrain with a surface area of 3,000 m2.
